Rob Boston Racing Wins Class in Race of Remembrance!
An Outstanding Performance from Rob Boston Racing: Mazda MX5 Mk3 Dominates Class C and Exceeds Expectations
At Rob Boston Racing, we’ve always believed in pushing the limits of what’s possible, and this weekend’s performance in the Class C Mazda MX5 Mk3 proved that our team can achieve extraordinary things, no matter the odds.
While we were aiming for the overall win with our RBR-prepared Class D Lotus Elise, it was our Class C Mazda MX5 Mk3 that truly delivered an incredible result and a stellar performance, exceeding all expectations. This race was a perfect example of how teamwork, strategy, and unwavering driver focus can lead to remarkable outcomes, even when the competition is fierce and the conditions unpredictable.
A Flawless Strategy and Execution
From the moment the lights went out, our team executed a flawless strategy. Every decision, from tire choices to fuel management, was perfectly timed, allowing the Mazda MX5 Mk3 to stay at the front of its class while consistently gaining ground on cars from higher classes. Our team’s strategic calls were spot-on, reacting quickly to on-track action and minimizing any time lost with expertly timed pit stops.
These well-executed pit strategies kept us ahead in Class C and allowed us to capitalize on every opportunity throughout the race.
Exceptional Driving Under Challenging Conditions
But no strategy is complete without skilled drivers, and we’re proud to say that all three of our drivers put in fantastic performances. George Grant and Will Blackwell Chambers both showcased incredible talent behind the wheel, adapting seamlessly to the ever-changing weather conditions. The track conditions shifted from dry to wet, and with the added challenge of driving into the night, the race threw challenges at even the most experienced drivers. George and Will handled these challenges with remarkable precision, ensuring the Mazda MX5 Mk3 stayed in top form, no matter the conditions.
In addition to George and Will’s impressive performances, Team Boss Rob Boston also made an appearance behind the wheel. Rob’s experience and leadership were crucial, adding to the team's success and bringing invaluable insights throughout the race.
Class C Victory and a Stellar 4th Place Overall
The result was nothing short of remarkable. Not only did the Mazda MX5 Mk3 win its class by an impressive 5-lap margin, but it also secured 4th place overall—an incredible achievement considering the performance difference between classes. This result is a testament to the collective effort of the entire team, from the drivers to the pit crew to the strategists behind the scenes.
This victory is a perfect example of what Rob Boston Racing is all about: dedication, teamwork, and performance excellence. We couldn’t be prouder of the performance we saw from our team this weekend. It’s a moment we’ll all remember and one that proves the power of a well-prepared car, a great team, and a strategy that’s second to none.
